Te Mahia train station entrance was recently transformed following a revitalisation project improving public amenities, security and safety for all users, better accessibility for commuters, and a new community space for the local hapori and whānau in the area.

 

The upgrade includes a complete new vibrant design that presents a new dual coloured walk-way that greets patrons upon entering the premises, new planted areas, stormwater upgrades, retaining wall, fencing improvements, enhanced street lighting, and CCTV improvements for everyone’s peace of mind.

 

TES was not only responsible for preparing the civil design drawings but also for the MSQA construction supervision. The development was recently successfully opened to the public with support from the local Waiohua Iwi. Everyone’s hard work and commitment is reflected in every corner of this project.

 

From our perspective, this project has been more than just an upgrade. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when everyone works together creating spaces that serve and uplift the community. Well done to all involved, ka pai!
