Two roundabouts designed by TES, commissioned by Auckland Transport and constructed years ago are still continuing to achieve substantial crash savings for Aucklanders, post-construction:

• Bentley / Chartwell: 23 crashes over 3.5 years before roundabout, and only 2 crashes after;
• Church / Victoria: 47 crashes over 4.5 years before roundabout, and only 1 crash after.

Roundabouts that are well designed can achieve substantial long-term crash savings!

Also, the Church / Victoria roundabout was the subject of a peer-reviewed and published article in the ‘Journal of Road Safety’:
